MORAIRA "El Autentico Mediterraneo"
One of the most beautiful towns in the Costa Blanca is Teulada-Moraira. Nestling between the mountains and the sea, the wonderful climate of this specific area boasts an average yearly temperature of 18°C.
From just 32 original inhabitants, the town's community has today grown to around 13,000. The coastline here is approximately 8 km long overall, with fine sandy beaches and remote rocky coves in abundance.
All the beaches are of a sufficiently high standard to carry the prestigious Blue Flag Award, so once again, it is easy to see where the expression "Authentic Mediterranean" comes from.
The picturesque town of Teulada lies about 5km inland and is surrounded by vineyards, orange and almond groves and pine trees.
The adjacent town of Moraira came into being because of its wonderful beach and the traditional yet still popular fish market.
The townsfolk of Teulada-Moraira have long understood the importance of combining historical tradition with a modern environment for both inhabitants and visitors.
Whether you prefer to enjoy the sea or the mountains, the choice is yours; some of the many pastimes here include rambling and hiking, horse riding, golfing, diving, surfing, jet skiing sailing or boating.
For the more energetic amongst you, there are castles, theme and animal parks, a parrot farm and a water ride park to visit and many other rewarding excursions can be found in this area.
